18:00 The Comedy Conversation is an uninhibited, hilarious interview with Boom Chicago alum Kay Cannon. CEO Saskia and Festival Artistic Director Stacey talk with Kay about her life, career in comedy and funny times in Amsterdam followed by questions from the audience. Saskia and Stacey are in Amsterdam with a live audience while Kay is live from Los Angeles. The audience watches from all over the world.

Kay Cannon is a director, (screen)writer, producer, actress and comedian. She directed the hit comedy Blockers, starring Leslie Mann, John Cena and (Boom Chicago’s) Ike Barinholtz.  Cannon wrote and produced the acapella comedy Pitch Perfect series. The first two were great! She recently finished Cinderella, a major Disney romantic comedy musical which she wrote and directed. That will be in theaters in July, so during the festival Q&A.

19:45 What Can’t She Do? Boom Chicago hosts a hilarious night of women-first comedy featuring talent from all around the world. Expect a hysterical night of stand-up, improvisation, musical comedy, characters, from superstars who have (probably) never been on the same bill together! Boom Chicago’s Biddy Kemery and Stacey Smith host the evening that starts big and never slows down!

22:00 Womance is a musical improv duo comprised of best friends, Shantira Jackson and Stacey Smith. Shantira and Stacey have been working together for over a decade. Stacey is a current cast member of Boom Chicago and runs the Boom Academy and this festival. Shantira is currently a writer for Big Mouth and contributor for The Amber Ruffin Show. Together they’ve headlined the Detroit Women of Comedy Festival, the Omaha Improv Festival and the Miami Improv Festival.
