COMMUNITY MANAGER

Boom Chicago is looking for a junior, digital-savvy Community Manager who is responsible for Boom Chicago’s social media and content creation. It is a part-time job for 21 hours a week spread over 7 days.

It’s a communications role, incorporating online tools to create relationships and ultimately build the company’s brand, both online and off. While every day as a Community Manager is different, this is what the role’s responsibilities may include:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Content creation – generate, edit, publish, curate and share engaging content daily
  • Social media marketing – create, manage and grow the company’s presence
  • Customer support – answer questions that come in through social media and manage any online feedback
  • Analytics – Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics. Measure and report on the impact of community-building activities. Find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

  • Outgoing personality
  • Writing skillsExcellent written communication skills. A background in journalism or experience with writing is a pre
  • Social media experience
  • Interest in the entertainment industry –  you need to be passionate about this field
  • Willingness to work around the clock – being a Community Manager isn’t a 9-5 job
  •  A great team member: you have great time management skills and the ability to liaise with other departments weekly for contributing content
  •  Experience in creating content as well as taking / styling photos for social content
  •  Experience in Photoshop is a plus
