Are you our new brilliant Freelance Graphic Designer?
Boom Chicago is seeking a talented and highly motivated freelance Graphic Designer to join our creative team! We offer an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, while contributing to the growth of Boom Chicago, by creating effective and appealing artwork that successfully bring in audiences for our shows. If you have a knack for crafting stunning digital and print assets and a passion for comedy and theater, this is your chance to shine.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute and be evaluated on the success of digital and print artwork to promote Boom Chicago’s live comedy shows, group bookings and events that include the venue and, tailored programs for corporate clients.
- Design eye-catching digital assets for social media, email campaigns, and our website.
- Create compelling print materials including flyers, posters, and other promotional items.
- Collaborate with our marketing team to ensure brand consistency and visual impact.
- Stay updated with design trends and best practices to keep our materials fresh and engaging.
- Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring all files are properly labeled and stored for easy access and retrieval.
- Implement feedback from team members and stakeholders to refine designs and achieve the best results.
- Address design challenges and find effective solutions, such as image manipulation, to ensure that visual content meets project requirements and audience expectations.
- Track and manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work on time.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in graphic design of, among other things, promotional assets and event branding for various media including print (posters, flyers, and other print work) and digital platforms like social media and newsletters.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) or similar tools.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative designs.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Able to be at the office at least once a week.
