Join Boom Chicago as our new Sales & Events Team Member!

We are excited to hire a team member who gets Boom Chicago— a creative, high‑energy environment where no two days are the same. Comedy is at the heart of what we do, and our team thrives on improvisation, flexibility, and the spirit of “yes, and…”. This is not a classic 9-to-5 job. We want someone adaptable, proactive, and excited to work in a dynamic theater with visiting comedians, large high-stakes events, and unique experiences.

Your Job
You will operate at the intersection of sales and operations, acting as the bridge between the people selling events and the teams executing them. Your focus is on event coordination, client care, and flawless execution with an eye towards details that make everybody’s life easier.

Specifically, your tasks will be:
Sales & Administration Support

  • Assist with general customer service.
  • Respond to incoming emails and provide all requested information.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with proper follow-up and attention to detail.
  • Schedule meetings with clients and assist during venue visits.

Events: Production & Coordination
We are looking for an expert on event execution. You need to:

  • Understand and record all requirements for each event — both logistics and client expectations.
  • Create timelines/ agendas for events.
  • Coordinate communication between Sales and Front of House to ensure smooth execution.
  • Work closely with operational staff and Front of House during events.
  • Act as event manager for assigned events, including large corporate events and shows with visiting comedians.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by collecting and recording feedback.

Important to know: This role involves working weekends or outside standard hours when events require it.

Your Profile

  • Experience: At least 2 years in events/hospitality or client-facing environment.
  • Strong organizing skills with an eye to every detail.
  • Language: Fluent in English; Dutch desired.
  • A flexible mindset — not a 9-to-5 attitude.
  • Positive, solution-oriented, proactive.
  • Independent, reliable, and accountable.
  • Someone who loves checking things off the list.
