The Big House is Boom Chicago’s biggest theater. It has high ceilings and a beautiful, industrial look. The space has a flat floor that makes it very flexible and can be cozy for any sized group. For a performance, the theater can be set up with small tables and lights. For dinner, we can create beautifully decorated tables with linen and flowers. For conferences, we can seat people in rows with or without small tables. Drink service can be provided before, during or after the event.
The theater has a semicircular stage with backstage entrances and three built-in screens.
The catwalk at the top of the room makes it easy to hang objects, banners or to rearrange lights.
INFORMATION
- The ground floor has 170 square meters of open seating area.
- The seating/standing room is approximately 13 meters wide and 13 meters long measured from the front of the stage to the beginning of the balcony.
- At the back of the room you have a balcony 13 meters wide and 4 meters deep. It has three ascending rows for up to 100 seated people.
- The stage is 7,5 meters wide and 4,5 meters deep in the middle. In the middle of the stage there is a staircase that leads to the main floor.
- There are two doors on stage that lead to the backstage area.
