OUT Ensemble, based in the United States, is a wind quintet of LGBTQ+ musicians performing and commissioning the works of queer composers. By increasing representation of the queer community in classical music, the quintet hopes to inspire audiences to embrace their authentic identities and bring classical music into communities across the globe. Enjoy a program exploring the breadth of wind quintet colors, featuring three original commissions for OUT Ensemble. “Queer and Now” showcases the work of present-day queer women with an homage to the visionary Pauline Oliveros.
