Kicking off the festival’s opening night, local legend Derek Scott Mitchell (@doubledutch) will join the Boom Chicago cast for Music Improv Spectacular. Known for his commanding presence and sharp wit, Derek will share his true stories, which the cast will then transform into spontaneous, hilarious musical improv.

Brothers Seth and Josh Meyers have a popular podcast together called Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers. For this one time, they’re importing the recordings to Amsterdam during BCCF, and you can join them. Audiences are asked to share anecdotes about cringe-worthy childhood memories and awkward family trips, but there will also be well-known Boom Chicago alumni in attendance, as well as a (yet to be announced) special guest.
