Join Boom Chicago for our Summer Improv Party!

We are taking our favorite mix of hilarious scenes and razor sharp improvisation and bringing them to our Upstairs Theater for more intimate (and air conditioned) comedy block party all summer long. Every seat is the best seat in the house!

Take a break from your screens to enjoy live comedy. Watching the Boom Chicago actors time the perfect joke (and occasionally sweat through a miss) is exhilarating. When they make each other laugh, you know it’s a top night and it’s great to have been there.

Your suggestions are the starting point for our comedy. We turn your ideas into jokes, characters and scenes. It's like magic and really, really funny. It's all happening right front of your eyes.

Come watch the next generation of comedy superstars before they get too big for you to afford their shows! This is the stage that launched Seth Meyers and Amber Ruffin  (Late Nite with Seth Meyers), Jordan Peele (Key and Peele, Get Out), Ike Barinholtz (Blockers, Suicide Squad, The Mindy Project), Jason Sudeikis (Horrible Bosses, We’re the Millers)  Heather Campbell (Whose Line is it Anyway?), Matt Jones (Breaking Bad), Kay Cannon (Blockers, Pitch Perfect, Girlboss), and Michael Orton-Toliver (UK’s Borderline). Boom Chicago alumni write for Saturday Night Live, The Daily Show, The Trump Show, How I Met your Mother, 30 Rock, Girls, Broke Girls and so many more.

Summer Improv Party stars top improvisers like Rhys Collier, Tamar Broadbent, Karel Ebergen, Cene Hale, Simon Lukacs, Lizz Kemery, Rob AndristPlourde and musical director Sacha Hoedemaker. Watch this team, led by Artistic Director Andrew Moskos, make their mark at Boom Chicago this summer. See them before they’re on TV!

Throw in summer drink specials, warm weather tunes, and you've got a Summer Improv Party!
