Let’s put some fun back in sustainability!
Join the VCV Circle for Sustainability and the Amsterdam Circle on January 24 for a comedy evening at Boom Chicago with special guest Jelle de Jong, CEO of the World Wildlife Fund Netherlands.
Humor and sustainability
Most people associate sustainability with serious stuff, like climate change, declining natural resources, inequality, and various other topics. At the same time, sustainability is all about the future, hope, and positive change. Charting a sustainability strategy requires serious commitment and effort within the organization and in its value chain. Yet to engage people within and outside of the organization, a touch of humor can really help!

Find out what humor can do around this serious topic. Jelle de Jong, CEO at the World Wildlife Fund Netherlands, will be the guest story teller at the Boom Chicago Music Improv Spectacular Show.
Music Improv Spectacular
During this 75-minute show, Jelle will be sharing stories about how he shifted his focus from a business career to protecting nature. And why he strongly feels nature is relevant for all companies and people. The talented comedians then create original, improvised scenes and songs based on those stories. It sounds impossible, but it’s hysterical and exciting!
Past storytellers have included Johan Cruyff Arena’s CEO Tanja Dik, Ted Lasso’s Brendan Hunt, world famous DJ Sunnery James, Podcast star Aaf Brandt Corstius, presenter Jorgen Raymann, actor Patrick Stoof, voice over actor Jurgen Theuns and English coach of the stars Buffi Duberman.
