BOOM CHICAGO IS OPEN (VIRTUALLY!)

6 NIGHTS LIVE ON YOUTUBE. STARTS APRIL 14 AT 20:00 CET

Boom Chicago presents two of their best comedy shows, each in three parts, live on YouTube.

On April 14, 16, and 18 political comedy veterans Pep Rosenfeld and Greg Shapiro and director Andrew Moskos present Trump Up the Volume about the state of life and politics in the US.
On April 21, 23, and 25 Boom Chicago actors and fiancés Matt Castellvi and Stacey Smith present Going Steady, an improvised comedy show about life, love and everything in between.

Artistic Director Andrew Moskos: ‘The coronavirus is affecting all of us, and it’s horrible for theaters. We wanted to be the first theater in the Netherlands to reopen with high quality shows — that also follows government social distancing rules. Come join us online this April for our triumphant reopening and please buy a ticket. Life is better when you laugh!’. Support Boom Chicago by buying a ticket to either show below or just make a donation.

Trump Up the Volume: Social Distancing Edition

Starring Pep Rosenfeld and Greg Shapiro 1,5m apart. One complete show in three parts. One hour each night. Starts April 14.

Special Live streaming from Boom Chicago’s theater in Amsterdam at 20:00 CET. Los Angeles 11:00 | Chicago 13:00 | New York 14:00 | London 19:00 | Berlin 20:00 Tel Aviv 21:00

Pep Rosenfeld and Greg Shapiro have been making people laugh about news and politics for 20 years in Amsterdam. Trump Up the Volume is their first live streaming show.

With a huge theater, a tiny crew, and no audience, and everyone 1,5 meters apart, this will be the funniest, most topical show ever done live in a pandemic, while following Prime Minister Rutte’s rules.

In the midst of everything, we’re still having an election and people need to laugh and be engaged. Using stand-up comedy and improvisation, Pep Rosenfeld, Greg Shapiro and director Andrew Moskos present the final performance of the (unfortunately) longest running show in Boom Chicago’s history. It was supposed to end in 2016, when Hillary Clinton became president… Instead it ends now.

Going Steady

Starring Matt Castellvi, Stacey Smith and Musical Director Sacha Hoedemaker. One complete show in three parts. One hour each night. Starts April 21.

Special Live streaming from Boom Chicago’s theater in Amsterdam at 20:00 CET. Los Angeles 11:00 | Chicago 13:00 | New York 14:00 | London 19:00 | Berlin 20:00 | Tel Aviv 21:00

Real couple Matt Castellvi and Stacey Smith (and real Boom Chicago cast members) perform a really funny improvised comedy show about life, love and anything that comes up. With short form scenes, long form improvisation and live music throughout, this will be a very special Boom Chicago show.

Spend three funny nights with two great performers, one musical improv master, a tiny crew and no audience. Musical Director Sacha Hoedemaker accompanies live from the side of the stage and supports scenes with live music and co creates improvised show stoppers for Stacey and Matt to sing to. But this is not a three-way. He will stay 1,5m away.

Join us for this fun night with live music and please buy a ticket to support the performers and crew (All proceeds go to them).
