Dutch comedy royalty Ruben and Boom go way back.
Ruben started at Boom as a bad cook and worked his way up to becoming a great improviser. He took classes with Jordan Peele, Amber Ruffin, and Brendan Hunt before going on to become one of the resident comedians on the hit improv show De Lama’s, the television show that introduced improvisation to a wider Dutch-speaking audience. More recently, Ruben has appeared and directed several films, including Yamas! (2024) and the hit crime comedy Bad Slippers (2026).
Now he’s back.
