In Last Minute Stand-Ins, Boom Chicago improvisers and top Amsterdam actors join forces onstage to do what they each do best. The actors act. The improvisers improvise, but at the same time! Our comedians don’t know the scene and have to make up half of the show, trying to make sense of the scene around them. What comes out is hysterical! Last Minute Stand-Ins is the show where quick-witted comedy and serious theater collide.
The actor’s nightmare of forgetting their lines becomes a delight for the audience who enjoy the best of these two crafts. Both the actors and improvisers work at the speed of their intelligence in this very funny and impressive show.
David started as a young actor in productions like The Resurrection of a Bastard and SpangaS. During his study he has been in a play from Suburbia which was directed by Julia Bless. After graduation from the Amsterdam Theater School (AHK) he starred in the film Gelukzoekers by Hanro Smitsman and had supporting roles in films like Singel39 and series like Ik Weet Wie Je Bent and De Vliegende Hollanders. David was added for season 2 and 3 to the main cast of successful AppleTV+ series Ted Lasso that is now available worldwide and won multiple Emmy Awards. In December 2023 David played the lead in the American romcom ‘My Norwegian Holiday’.
