Boom Chicago proudly presents the sixth annual Boom Chicago Comedy Festival! A packed celebration of stand-up, improv, and sketch featuring new voices, comedy favorites, and some world-class funny people.

The full lineup is still on its way, so keep your eyes peeled for the can’t-miss shows joining the festival soon.

And when the show ends, no one has to go straight home. The Boom Chicago bar keeps the festival going: a lively spot where performers and audiences can grab a drink, meet new people, and occasionally pretend they’re just networking.

Big laughs, top talent, and a whole festival of “you had to be there.”

BCCF 2026 • Michiel Vos joins the cast of Boom Chicago! • July 2

Joining the Boom Chicago cast on stage to kick off the 6th annual Boom Chicago Comedy Festival is Dutch-American journalist, lawyer, and America correspondent Michiel Vos!

Inspired by Vos, the cast creates completely original improvised scenes, kooky characters, and spontaneous songs, resulting in a one-night-only comedy that draws on his life and world. Come see why many Boom fans call this our most impressive and funniest show!

BCCF 2026 • Improv Spectacular ft Ruben van der Meer • July 3

Enjoy 33 years of Boom comedy innovation in one show! This fast-paced funny night features our top cast and Dutch comedy legend Ruben van der Meer making you (and themselves) laugh while waiters bring drinks to your table.

The evening starts with short-form improv and games with rules, bells, and lots of audience suggestions. We need a job and a movie-style! Ding. Let’s go! Then after a break, our long-form improvisation creates a whole new world of characters, scenes, and funny situations based on stories inspired by just one word. It’s a complete improv comedy journey!

BCCF 2026 • Epic Rap Battles of History • July 3

Epic Rap Battles of History (from Los Angeles, USA) is a comedy rap series created by Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD, which pits notable historical and pop culture figures against one another in a rap battle format.

The series has amassed over 4 billion views on YouTube and has featured appearances from huge stars, including the likes of Weird Al Yankovic, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, Key & Peele, Lilly Singh, Rhett, and Link. BCCF 2026 • Nadine Froughi • July 3

In this, her debut comedy hour, Nadine Froughi will take you on a multimedia musical-comedy romp through the no-man’s land between real life and her daydreams.

Questions like, “Where is she really from?” “Who’s the world’s most famous frog?” and “Did this bit really need a PowerPoint presentation?” will be asked and answered in an hour of comedy that’s high-energy, relatable and ever so slightly sincere.

BCCF 2026 • Louis Hanson Live: GOOD BOY! • July 4

We’re excited to welcome Louis Hanson to the 2026 Boom Chicago Comedy Festival lineup!

Last year, Louis Hanson made a certain discovery that prompted him to take a walk down memory lane, metaphorically hold a mirror up to his face, and ask himself, “how did I end up here?” GOOD BOY! is the comedic culmination of this very walk down memory lane – a 70-minute multimedia narrative show, in which Louis reveals his innermost thoughts, alongside the pivotal moments that shaped him into the man he is today.

BCCF 2026 • Reggie Watts • July 8

Get ready for one of the most original voices in live comedy. Reggie Watts joins the Boom Chicago Comedy Festival for one night only on Wednesday, July 8.

With a microphone, keyboard, and loop station, Reggie Watts creates a completely improvised comedy experience unlike anything else on stage. Blending live music, beatboxing, surreal humor, improvisation, and spontaneous storytelling, he pulls audiences into a world where absolutely anything can happen.
