Alex Borstein & The Amstergang – Cancelled

In order to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Dutch Government on advice from the Ministry of Environment and Health (RIVM) has decided to cancel events of 100 or more attendees. This ban is effective immediately until March 31, 2020.

This means the show Alex Borstein & The Amstergang at Boom Chicago in Amsterdam on March 24 will not take place. We are working on rescheduling this show. All ticket buyers will receive an update by e-mail as soon as possible and we will try to have more news soon. For more information please visit:

Alex Borstein is a multi talented actress. She is mostly known as the voice of Lois Griffin in Family Guy. For this role she received a Primetime Emmy Award. She also played a part in the successful comedy film Ted in which a teddy bear comes to life and goes on remarkable adventures with his owner. Next to (voice) acting, she is also a writer, producer and comedian. Borstein was also part of Gilmore Girls, The Lizzie McGuire Movie and is currently working on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

From our comedy blog Life is Better When You Laugh:

‘On March 24th, Alex Borstein is gracing the stage at Boom Chicago as she tours “Alex Borstein & The Amstergang” around Europe. Our technical director mentioned in November that this was a possibility and I immediately started to sweat.’
