BOOM CHICAGO SHOWS & VISITING PRODUCTIONS

EVERYTHING FUNNY

We are most proud of our mainstage shows which feature smart topical scenes, hysterical stand up and our famous improvisation comedy. There are monthly theme nights, and plenty of visiting comedians from all around the world. At Boom Chicago, there are fantastic shows almost every night, with only the occasional stinker. And damn, now the backspace button doesn’t work.

We also teach improvisation! The Boom Chicago Academy has almost 250 active students which makes an exciting Amsterdam comedy community. New Intro to Improv classes start five times a year and we offer improv taster classes almost every week for only €30. Join the fun!

  • Sold out

Ali Siddiq, one of the world’s most respected and talked about comedians, finally makes it to The Netherlands! From Houston, Texas, Ali developed his unmistakable voice in one of the most unlikely places, behind the walls of incarceration, where storytelling was survival, currency and community. Today, that same voice has made him one of the most watched, respected and consistently viral comedians in the world.

SOLD OUT • Josh Thomas: Jiggle, Jiggle • November 20, 2026

Josh started doing stand-up 20 years ago. In that time, he’s won some prizes and lost a lot of celebrity versions of reality TV shows. His shows, Please Like Me and Everything’s Gonna Be Okay, were international sensations. They dealt with lots of important issues, but this year he just wants to be silly. “Disarmingly relatable.” ★★★★ The Guardian
