Stand-up comedienne Maisie Adam is coming to the Netherlands for the first time. On Wednesday 22 January 2025, the British comedian will perform her new show ‘Appraisal’ at Boom Chicago Amsterdam. Ticket sales have started immediately via Ticketmaster.
Maisie Adam has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the comedy world and is fast becoming an established name. Following her previous sold-out, critically acclaimed debut tour of the UK, hosting ‘Live At The Apollo’ and appearances on popular shows ‘A League Of Their Own’ and ‘Have I Got News For You’, she is now touring internationally with her new show ‘Appraisal’.
In ‘Appraisal’, Adam examines her now five-year career: can she prove what makes her an award-winning comedian, or is it time for a shake-up?
Adam’s comedy career began when she won the ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ award (previously won by such well-known comedians as Peter Kay, Aisling Bea and Tom Allen) at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The following year she was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Her anecdotal stories and sharp charm earned her much praise, and she soon appeared on many TV shows including ‘Mock The Week’, ‘Have I Got News For You’, ‘QI’, ‘The Last Leg’ and ‘8 Out Of 10 Cats’. In addition, as a huge football fan, Adam co-hosts the ‘Big Kick Energy’ football podcast, which was named Sports Podcast Of The Year at the 2023 Broadcast Sport Awards.
